Reimagining Diversity at Work

Our Vision

We Treat People of Color as People First

More than a program, KIWAVI is a movement. Anchored in the belief that diversity is not just a metric to achieve but a strength to unleash, KIWAVI seeks to create meaningful change. Through workshops, mentorship programs, and cooperative projects, we aim to dismantle barriers and build bridges, ensuring that every voice is heard, and every talent is recognized.

PROGRAMS

  • KIWAVI EXCHANGE nurtures People of Color who own small businesses by providing them with prime storefront space in a vibrant market area. More than a pop-up, participants are also part of an on-site apprenticeship program with resources and real-time guidance from seasoned KIWAVI GROW coaches. This collaborative environment fosters organic best practice sharing and community partnership development. As businesses reach growth milestones, they move on to make space for new entrepreneurs. Companies supporting KIWAVI EXCHANGE contribute to a flourishing and diverse local economy.

  • KIWAVI GROW is dedicated to personal growth and self-discovery. Through our three-day seminar and additional one-off professional development experiences, participants receive tailored coaching and mentoring to advance both personally and professionally. Whether you're an entrepreneur or an employee, GROW helps you uncover your potential, supported by KIWAVI’s OHANA networking events, fostering inclusivity and belonging. Companies that sponsor employees gain a more engaged, capable, and diverse workforce, enhancing overall organizational performance.

  • KIWAVI OHANA fosters a strong sense of community for employees of color by offering engaging activities like movie nights, trivia nights, karaoke, art and music classes, and other special events. By connecting with individuals outside their workplace around shared interests, OHANA members build a diverse and secure network. Companies sponsoring OHANA memberships enhance employee retention by supporting their employees' sense of belonging and personal fulfillment.

Modern Solutions

A Modern Problem Requires a Modern Solution.

Cutting-edge technology, ample space, and high-quality content and mentorship—all in a physical space that immerses you in the human elements that create culture: art, music, food, and hospitality. In today's world, modern also means hybrid, and we've ensured that our program can meaningfully support people wherever they may be.

Innovation and Culture

Using Innovation Principles and Creative Culture to Reimagine Diversity at Work.

Innovation is a mindset. It’s about the blending of creativity, ingenuity, and passion to create value and shift paradigms. We blend the talents and interests of entrepreneurs, creators, and corporate employees to create a unique environment to solve problems, create insights, and refine strategy.

A Message from Jared Simmons, Creator of KIWAVI

KIWAVI is a program designed to allow People of Color to come together around their shared interests, not their demographics. It’s a space where colleagues can discover fellow musicians, foodies, and art lovers on their own team, or among people they wouldn’t meet anywhere else. Whether it’s event space, storefront shopping, or custom programming, value is created by People of Color, for People of Color through a shared spirit of profit-focused cooperation. KIWAVI is our effort to move beyond workplace diversity to harnessing and leveraging the power of diversity at work.
